 The Bridge

The concept of the bridge was created with the purpose to demonstrate power in its most natural and physical sense. The irregular structural design highlights the idea that, with  the strength of two of the worlds most influential companies, a phallic and visually demanding system can be put together.

The linear design of the bridge was chosen solely due to the location and surroundings that the Seven Rila Lakes create. It is a completely open-spaced valley, with the mountainous regions all lying at the borders. The Lakes are conspired together in a system of footprints that leave them all bare to witness from nearly every angle. There is no point trying to hide or mimic discontinuity with the overall design of the bridge, and for the purposes of the experiment, creating headquarters for 2 global companies, hiding the incredible view provided would have been an injustice to the valley.

Facebook HQ

The headquarters for Facebook was designed with the intent to publish the concepts of reliance, significance and position of which the company stands at.

One of the key ideas behind the design is the glass dome that protrudes from within the building. The dome is designed for public access (and is the only area which the public is accepted). From the design of the main office, all the levels of the building are tilted toward the dome, as public interaction is the companies flagship doctrine. Not only does the company have to provide the environment for socializing, it also has to monitor it as to stay ahead of what the public wants and needs when it comes to human relations.

The design of the headquarters is there to make the connection between the online observation of the consumer, and now the more prominent physical observation, with the blacked out screens on the dome representing the security features of facebook, as they are obviously there, but still cannot completely hide you.

The particular position of the building, creates the sense that the company has now become a building block upon today's society. It almost gives the sense that the bridge could not function without its support, which begs the question of whether Facebook has really only become a leisurely activity, or whether it has turned into the form of a parasite, as it seeks to keep expanding and eventually taking over the entire bridge.

The amount of detail that present on the back of the infamous F, shows the backbone of the company, and that even though the idea behind it is very simple, it still takes a large amount of work and care to carry the company forward, and due to the fact that Facebook is there to provide a 24/7 service, housing is provided for the employees.

Coca-Cola HQ

Coca-Cola's headquarters are created with the purpose to resemble a community, built from the ground up with immense history behind it. The ascending building sizes convey the history that the company has come through, proudly showing its longevity within the business world. The fact that the buildings are firmly positioned on the ground, shows no possibility in their down-fall, such is the case with the brand that Coca-Cola has created for itself.

The glass layers of each component are there to mimic the foundations of the company, that is, how it all revolves around the glass bottle trademark. Even though the company has grown immensely throughout the past few decades, its roots are still embroiled with the glass bottle, and with a company so proud to show of its historic value, the buildings take their shape.

The bridge also plays a significant role in the design of Coca-Cola's HQ. The vertical bars that descend around the buildings are there to create the idea that the company has now become so impenetrable that even the natural forces wouldn't be able to do much harm. They are there to give the company protection from all the elements, making it seem as if the bridge is solely there to protect the buildings.

Meetin Room and Elevators

The meeting room, along with the table, is there to show constant work in progress. The space is located centrally between both headquarters, and gives the sense of gears in motion, as work would never cease between these two giants.

The table, along with its texture, is there to show equality and create an amicable environment. This can easily be portrayed  as there is no competition between them, since one is a giant in beverages, and the other in social media.

However, even though they are polar opposites in the targeted consumer business, they still share the virtue of growth and global affiliation. Through these business ethics, they both have a similar goal, which is showcased by the intertwined leggings of the table and chairs.

Facebooks elevator is designed with the idea that the company is now trying to solidify its future, which is created with a futuristic look. With simple things such as design being adapted for the future, the company creates power by constantly surging forward, and leaving no gap for present mistakes to take toll.

Coke's elevator takes the concept of its entire headquarters to a minimalistic level. The tangled mesh that surrounds the elevator is there to once again show its unyielding strength, as the company has solidified itself as one of the worlds powers, and with the concept of strength before venture, it showcases once again that it has become an unstoppable force.
