My sketchup concept was based upon the idea that the crysis environment will play an important key role in the presentation of the monument. This will be highlighted by the obvious fact that students will be changing their viewing perspective constantly, and interacting with the monument consistently. That is why the concepts of viewing-angle being directly proportional to the experience, and disparaging shapes convey to a harmony was ideal for the monument.
The textures chosen will represent the transformation from light to dark in the most obvious ways, while conveying to the concept of a different experience being produced by a different position.
The final texture design was chosen as to not take away from the experience of the monument. The patterns chosen previously for the floor drew attention away from the overall complexity of the object, and the environment to come. They still, however, manage to convey the differing degrees of the textures, and add to the concept of disparaging shapes by creating new focal points that did not exist prior.
